Cardiovascular profile of vasculitis patients at tertiary care center

Background: The vasculitides are a heterogenous group of conditions characterized by blood vessel inflammation and necrosis. Vasculitides relatively uncommon whose etiology is still poorly understood. Objective the research was to study cardiovascular profile vasculitis patients at tertiary care centre.Methods: present hospital based observational conducted in department internal medicine, Sher-i-Kashmir Institute Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Srinagar, Jammu Kashmir, India. had two parts: retrospective prospective. In part, all who were admitted or evaluated outpatient (OPD) from March 2012 September 2018, enrolled for analysis. prospective OPD October 2018 May 2020 study.Results: Out total 77 studied, 39 (50.6%) cases 38 (49.4%) nature. Normal echocardiographic electrocardiography (ECG) findings seen majority three groups. Computed tomography (CT) angio shows involvement right subclavian artery 9 (40.9%) patients, 8 (36.4%) left artery, 6 (27.3%) arch aorta, CT suggestive common carotid 5 2 each celiac bilateral iliac, ascending normal findings. Arterial Doppler (CCA) CCA 4 (30.8%) each, superior cerebellar (SCA) 3 (23.1%) SCA brachiocephalic (RBA), RA B/L UA observed 1 (7.7%) patient each.Conclusions: association between disease well documented. our discusses cv vasculitis.
